The information below remains only for current and future vendors to refer to.


All vendors are juried for accep­tance by the organizers of Daughters of Darkness. It is our goal to have a wide vari­ety of prod­ucts by women artists, makers, and women-led creative businesses. Considerations include: quality, innovation and uniqueness of the wares; overall theme of your work; how your items are represented in your photos; and the need to diversify categories presented. Vending at previous Daughters of Darkness events does not guarantee you acceptance for the 2020 event. All potential vendors must fill out the application below for consideration.

Inclusivity statement:

Daughters of Darkness uses an inclusive definition of “woman” and “female” and we welcome cis women, trans women, genderqueer women, and non-binary people to apply as vendors, as well as women-led collaborations and women-led businesses. All genders are welcome to volunteer at and attend the festival.

Fees (Includes access to all Friday classes, panels, workshops, and evening party):

  • 6 ft table (provided by venue) $125 per day

  • 8 ft table (provided by venue) $150 per day

  • Bring your own 6ft table $100

Upon acceptance you will be sent an email with your reservation and instructions for payment. All payments are due upon acceptance.

Setup/Booth Assignments:    

On 3/20/19 all vendors will be sent a detailed setup email with load-in times, space assignments, and parking instructions. Space assignments are at the sole discretion of Daughters of Darkness and assignments are non-negotiable. Vendors must be ready for customers by 12:00. Vendors are responsible for supplying and setting up their own displays, booth signage, booth decorations, and table and chairs (unless renting from the venue). Due to the historic nature of our venue, vendors may NOT attach anything to the walls. 

Tax information

In Massachusetts, Tax ID Numbers are required to sell merchandise to the public. Vendors must be in compliance with State & Federal tax laws.  

Media Release/Consent:

All vendors agree to allow Daughters of Darkness to promote the event and vendor attendees via use of photos and content from the vendor’s website and social media.Further, all vendors grant permission for Daughters of Darkness to publish any photos or video taken during the festival.


We cannot guarantee the usage of electricity to vendors, please plan accordingly. The venue is indoors and some access may be available but it is not guaranteed.

Cancellation Policy:

A full refund may be given if cancelled before March 1st. After March 1st, only half of the table fee will be reimbursed. Cancellations on the day of the event will not be refunded.

Code of Conduct:

In order to ensure the quality and enjoyment of the market and to promote a safe and positive atmosphere, all vendors involved with the market shall abide by the following Code of Conduct.

  • All persons shall act with respect toward other persons, their privacy, and safety.

  • Physical or verbal abuse of any kind will not be tolerated.

  • All persons shall treat private property and equipment with respect.

Please report any activity that is deemed inappropriate to our organizers or venue staff. Any violation of the Code of Conduct by a vendor will result in the immediate removal from the markets without refund. 


Vendors are recommended to have their own general liability insurance. The producer, vendor, vendor employee is solely responsible for damages resulting from the sale of unsafe or unsound goods, in addition to any accidents occurred while at the Daughters of Darkness Festival. Vendors agree to indemnify and hold harmless Daughters of Darkness, The Hawthorne Hotel, its affiliates, employees, agents from any and all liability, loss or damages which may be incurred as a result of all claims, demands, costs, judgments or expenses, including attorney’s fees, arising from the producer’s participation in the Daughters of Darkness Festival.
